Quid Publishing (now part of Bright Press) commissioned me initially to work on the concept for this book. The content comprises 365 rules of graphic design split between six categories; Type and Typography, Layout and Design, Colour, Imagery and Graphics, Production and Print, and The Practice of Design. I subsequently wrote, designed and project managed the book, working with three additional co-authors, Sean Adams, Peter Dawson and John Foster. We split the number of rules we each wrote more-or-less equally in order to achieve a good cross section of opinion. Sean, Peter and John also supplied many of the images which illustrate their own contributions.
The book is published by Frances Lincoln (with an alternative title and cover design) in the UK and by Peachpit in the US.
